Belladonna & Kimberly Kane AIM Fundraiser
By Kuono • Nov 30th, 2009 • Category: Blog, Events, Sex WorkersWhen Kimberly Kane and Belladonna (long-time GV favorites) first heard news of AIM Medical having some financial issues, they knew exactly what they had to do — take charge and plan a fundraiser to benefit the non-profit organization that has been providing testing and a slew of other amazing and much needed programing to industry professionals through out Los Angeles and through clinics across the US.
Kimberly says, “People don’t realize that AIM does a lot more for the community then just testing”. From drug and alcohol detox programs and various mental health counseling to online STI resources and quick and affordable testing for people both IN the adult industry and outside it, thousands of individuals have come to depend on AIM for support in a society that hasn’t offered standardized records to protect sex workers health. “When I heard AIM was having trouble it scared me. I’ve always had the luxury of having AIM my entire career and I can’t imagine porn without them.”
The Adult Industry Medical (AIM) Health Care Foundation is a non-profit corporation formed to care for the physical and emotional needs of sex workers and people who work in the adult entertainment industry through our HIV and STD testing and treatment, our counseling services and our support group programs. We are happy to be serving the sex worker community and our goal is to provide health care for the body, mind, emotion and spirit, as well as to take a leadership position in promoting safe and responsible sexual behavior, not only for the adult entertainment industry, but for everyone. Belladonna and Kimberly Kane’s WINTER WONDERLAND fundraiser will be a star-studded event sure to gain attention. The two gathered top talent such as Sasha Grey, Joanna Angel, Faye Reagan and Georgiana Jone as Auction Dates with them for the fundraiser. Wicked Pictures stars Jessica Drake, Kaylani Lei & Alektra Blue will also be present at the event.
