an upcoming workshop for sex educators

One of the flaws that I see in a lot of sex education (I’m talking about workshops and classes for adults, not sex ed for teens or youth) is that teachers often have a lot of great information to share but they don’t always have the teaching skills to back it up. No matter how engaging the topic, if a presenter can’t organize the info well, or can’t engage with the participants, the workshop is probably going to be a dud. It’s kind of amazing, but I’ve sat through some incredibly boring workshops about sex.
So one of the things that I do is offer workshops on how to teach workshops. I’ve developed a model for teaching that works with almost any topic and can be adapted for any audience, class length or community. I’m offering this workshop over three nights next month at the Center for Sex & Culture in San Francisco and I’d love to see you there. Click on the link below to register or to get location information. And feel free to pass this along to anyone who might be interested. This workshop isn’t limited to people who teach about sex.
Thanks!
