Commonly Mispelled Sex Words

By Kuono • Feb 5th, 2009 • Category: Blog

10 Points for those who caught the typo in the title. ;)

There are a number of sexual words we commonly type incorrectly:

  • It’s not prostrate but prostate.
  • Kegel not Kegal (Thanks to OutlawDiva for pointing out this very mistake by yours truly.)
  • Phlalates is spelled phthalates.
  • The G-Spot (and P-Spot) is capitalized.
  • Though cute, people come after they announce that they’re coming. The cum is just what came out.
  • Glycerol is a chemical compound also commonly called glycerin or glycerine… but glycareen it is not.
  • And we’re grateful our spell check is into fixing the popular fellatio and cunnilingus.

Are there other words that you see commonly incorrect?

  1. Whoooo boy do I have Big Hairy Red Monster-from-the-Bugs-Bunny-cartoon* level pet peeve about the word “cum” and even typing it right now makes me cringe!

One of my most high-level irritants though is the conflating of “dominant” and “dominate” I rant about it annually… last time was fall 2008… I’ll post the link if you wanna amuse yourself, as it is hella long and to muck up your blog with my rantings just seems rude!

*The monster’s name is Gossamer or Rudolph, depending on which reference you cite. Cartoon geek? Moi?
