Twitter Sex Guide

By Kuono • Jan 22nd, 2009 • Category: Blog

Those of you who have been following Good Vibrations’ twitter account (@GoodVibesSF and @GoodVibesMA) have been privy to hearing from our company about a slew of things. Here’s just a glimpse at some of our updates, from news about our reviews and Good Vibrations Affiliate Program to sales to hilarious news and updates from this magazine. Quick peak:

Spam subject line fail of the day: “Never be flaccid again.”

Take the Male Prostate Survey http://tinyurl.com/malegspot

RT @EssinEm “I don’t believe in our society’s concept of virginity. It’s heterocentric, & punishes sexual assault survivors. Sex-negative.”

GV Mag: Judah Pollock is “A Cunning Linguist” http://tinyurl.com/8uzmyy

Call 4 Submissions-Sexual Ability : Embracing Intersection of Sexuality and (dis)Ability http://tinyurl.com/8amybs

Got Lube? Condoms? 25% off all safer sex products at http://www.goodvibes.com/ and our SF, Berkeley and Brookline MA stores!

Twitter has proven to be a great source for networking, sharing anecdotes, and even connecting people to our company — by the way, if you’re interested in a donation from Good Vibrations, go here. ; )

Well, to my great reading pleasure, one of Good Vibrations Magazines’ past editors (and prolific authors!) Violet Blue (tinynibbles.com, vbsf, and many more) has written a Twitter Sex Guide for her newest column in the San Francisco Chronicle for Violet Blue’s Open Source Sex.

From “Twitter Flirting Ethics” to “Heating Up Your Tweets” and “The TwitterSutra” to “Twitter’s Sexual Power” it’s a funny and informative romp down twitter lane. Go check it out!

She mentions us “Or, you could watch adult businesses try to decide if they’re “connecting” with consumers with PR ploys, or actually writing interesting behind the scenes commentary.” Which do you think we’re doing? I know for sure that our short review romp, almost all of our current affiliates, and a few dozen questions we helped direct to the correct departments helped us connect. : ) Of course we’ve still got our Facebook and Myspace profiles too. (If you can believe it, even VENDORS contact us through our social networks.)
