SF supports Sex Workers, Prop K
By Kuono • Sep 29th, 2008 • Category: In the News, Politics, Sex Positivity, Sex Workers
Who said politics weren’t sexy? Proposition K is in the running this election for San Francisco, which if passed will decriminalize prostitution. The SF Chronicle ran this recent Op-Ed article “Decriminalize Prostitution – Vote YES on Prop K” which sites a number of reasons why “Clearly, the policing of sex work is problematic.”
You can donate to Prop K through a website Scarlot Harlot has created: www.yesonpropk.org, which helps some great folks spread the word about decriminalizing prostitution in SF. (Donating is an easy way for busy folks to participate.)

Recently the SF MOMA (Museum of Modern Art) showed it’s support for sex workers rights movement, providing free advertising through auditions via Tony Labat’s show “I WANT YOU”. Look for Sadie Lune, 1st place winner, on posters throughout SF during the week before the election. Check out a video screening of the auditions at a free screening at SFMOMA on Tuesday Nov 4th at 6pm. (Thanks SFMOMA for your support!)

This is such a wonderful post. Definitely helpful and informative to people sharing the same sentiments and seeking information.
