Queer Writters and Bloggers wanted!

Is there a website out there more perfectly descriptive than QueerWriters.com?

http://www.queerwriters.com/

The owner/blogger is asking if any queer writers out there would like to take over the site… otherwise he may even consider taking it down! Please if you’re out there and have a desire to keep it alive and current, contact Jim McDonough. Read his post below:

Do You Want to Blog For QueerWriters.com?

I’ve been running QueerWriters.com in one form or another since 2000. I started the site after leaving the San Francisco Bay Area and found myself in a place with a very small queer writers community and hoped to be able to stay connected.

In the past few months I am finding I do not have the time to devote to the site as I once did. I relocated again a couple years ago to a much smaller town and in the past few months my life has gotten very, very busy. I’ve recently gone back to school half-time in addition to a full time job, have started remodeling a 65 year old house and then took on a freelance web gig that I do every couple of weeks. Needless to say, I barely have time to post anything here any more and when I do it’s sporadic at most.

I’m looking for a few people who might want to contribute to the site. I can’t offer any money. The ads on the site have never even covered the web hosting costs to keep QueerWriters.com online. I have been thinking about taking down the site given my schedule, but I really don’t want to do that. If I can find some people who would like to blog on a regular basis that would be great.

I’m interested in people who can post about events happening in various cities and towns. If you want to write book reviews that would be great or keep people aware of books that are coming out. I’d love to see more author interviews on the site as well.

If you are interested, please e-mail me at info@queerwriters.com.
