Squirting 101
By Red Delicious • Jan 31st, 2008 • Category: Books & Videos, Female Ejaculation, G-Spot, SESA, sex tipsAsk any of my coworkers what my favorite two topics of discussion are and they’re tell you:
Porn and Female Ejaculation.
While I’d love to spend this post ranting and raving about my favorite films and directors and stars, it’ll have to wait until another time, because today we’re gonna talk about Squirting.
There are a lot of politics around female ejaculation actually, which are interesting. For a long time people have been hellbent on demonizing any juices a woman expels into the world. Menstrual blood: disgusting. Piss: vulgar. Pussy Discharge: diseased. Spit: crude. Tears: weakness. Ejaculate: non-existent. It’s funny that people are so ashamed of a woman secreting from her body, when men are so praised for doing so. (Funny I didn’t mention lactation, perhaps because our existence depends upon it, men and women.)
In past eras it wasn’t always so. Ejaculate in the ancient ages of many cultures was considered to be something divine, highly sought after and prized by the lovers of women. I feel like we might be entering a new time of sexual awareness and acceptance at present. People are more and more taking the time to become learned lovers, experimenting with new relationships, new playthings, and new activities. Pornography and erotica are weaving their way into the mainstream of popular culture. Perhaps as more and more people begin fully developing their sexuality there will be a massive rediscovery and new appreciation for female ejaculation and the awesome time awaiting those who are willing to experience it.
At the time being however, I’d just like to put a little lesson out there for folks who might be wondering about this fabulous pastime.
What is ejaculate?
Well it’s not pee, for one. It’s a fluid that’s produced in the Skene’s gland, which some folks have referred to as a degenerate prostate, evolutionarily speaking. The fluid that is made sometimes mixes with a little urine on it’s way out if you haven’t completely emptied your bladder before hand. Don’t worry though, as long as you are healthily hydrated and recently piddled your cum should be plenty pure.
Where does it come from?
Upon arousal, the periurethral sponge poofs up and swells: capillaries open to allow blood to flow into the tissue and the Skene’s gland goes to work cooking up ejaculate. A ripe periurethral sponge is what folks refer to as the G-spot. Because it is so swollen, with blood and smaller amounts of ejaculate, it feels good to touch. When one presses repeatedly on that spongy area known as the G-spot, ejaculate can actually be milked from the sponge and will drip, spill, or squirt out of the urethra.
What does it look/feel/taste/smell like?
Well, this is tricky. It can look/feel/taste/smell different coming from different people and at different times. (No pun intended there…) Sometimes it’s crystal clear like water, other times its thick and has more of a tint to it. It can taste sweet or salty like butter, if it has a little pee mixed in there might be a slightly bitter taste. Sometimes it feels thin and light like water, and other times like a slick almost syrupy liquid. Sometimes it’s quite pungent and musky, other times you can’t really smell it at all. The point here is that everyone and every time is different. Things that affect what your ejaculate smells, tastes, feels, and looks like are hydration, time of your cycle, foods you’ve eaten, stress, drugs (nicotine and alcohol even), etc.
How can I learn to squirt?
Practice. Take into consideration all that’s been brought to you in this lesson- hydration, milking the G-spot, extended arousal time, relaxation, letting go of hang ups (”but i don’t want to pee in bed”), etc. Also try playing with a little pressure on the urethral opening. By gently covering the urethral opening while milking the G-spot you actually start building up excess pressure which might help create a more impressive stream upon release. (Note: Be careful with this and make sure to pee afterwards. You don’t want any urinary infections from pushing liquid back up into your bladder.) You can also learn to shoot further by increasing the strength of your PC muscles and learning to control their contractions.
How can I increase the amount juice I produce?
Two suggestions here. One, stay hydrated. The more H2O in your body the more ejaculate your body will be able to produce. Two, keep teasing. The longer the arousal period, i.e. the amount of time your body has to produce juice before expelling it from the body, the more juice there will be to expel.
Can I transmit STIs though ejaculate?
Simple answer: YES. I’m not entirely sure on what all you can or cannot transmit (due to a lack of serious research on this subject), but my professional opinion is that squirting is another form of fluid bonding, and if you aren’t ready to do that with your partner you might want to wait a while before squirting all over each other’s body. My professional advice is to keep the same safe sex boundaries around squirting that you have around other sexual activities.
Got any videos or books on the subject?
The best book I’ve come across so far is Female Ejaculation and the G-spot. As far as instructional videos, Female Ejaculation for Couples is useful, though a little outdated. There’s also Female Ejaculation – The Workshop. There are some great porn films out there though that have incredible ejaculation scenes: Belladonna and Cytherea in Evil Pink, Jiz Lee in The Crash Pad, and Flower Tucci and Randy Spears in Tailgunners are just three highlights. We also just got in a couple SuperSquirt DVDs as well, which I’m still waiting, excitedly, to check out.
Okay I think I may have outdone myself this time… I know that was a lot to read, I hope you all got something out of it. If you have another question I didn’t answer this time around, feel free to leave any questions or thoughts in the comment space, I’d love to answer them in another post.
For now, though, I leave you with a Sex Tip of the Day: If you know you’re gonna get pretty wet keep a couple towels handy. A small hand towel is great for wiping down pussies, cocks, butts and thighs. A larger towel will be perfect for lying down before the scene to keep the bed or carpet dry, or for lying down after the fact to soak it all up. No one really likes to sleep on the wet spot.
Have fun, and remember: drink at least 8 cups of water a day, you never had a better reason.
Always up for a good splash,
