I’m Seeing Spots
By Red Delicious • Aug 5th, 2007 • Category: G-Spot, Toy Reviews, clit, sex tipsSo lately I have been talking a whole heck of a lot about spots. So much in fact that often by the end of the day i feel like my head is going to explode and I actually do feel as though I, myself, am actually seeing spots. So what spots do I find myself talking about? ALL of them, and there are so many I figured I might write a little bit about them so that folks who don’t get to come into the stores on a regular basis to hear me and my fellow SESAs divulge about these wonderful places might learn a thing or two as well.First and foremost the illustrious G-Spot. I won’t write a whole lot about this one, seeing as it get’s a lot of press as it is, in everything from the GV Magazine to Men’s Health to the SF Chronicle, but I will recap on a few key points.
1. If you haven’t found your g-spot yet, wait to look for it until AFTER you’ve had an orgasm. This will allow your body to become fully arroused, meaning the periurethral sponge that makes up the g-spot will be fully swelled and rarin’ to go.
2. Your g-spot is located on the front wall of your vagina, ALWAYS. It doesn’t move, it’s not in the back or on the side for some women. It’s in the front, think towards your belly button, and it is most likely not located very deep into your vag. It can usually be found 1-2 inches deep, not far, some women even have these little goldmines protruding slightly from the vagina. Talk about easy access!
3. Try fingers FIRST. Fingers are nature’s own g-spot toy: they’re free, bendable, easy to clean, and super strong. Plus you can make ‘em hook, press, or crawl against the g-spot to find out what you like. Using your fingers or your partner’s will also let you feel the internal texture of your vagina, this is important because the g-spot can easily be characterized by a ridged texture quite different from the rest of the vaginal wall. If you have trouble reaching your fingers into your vagina, I understand, and in such case would highly reccomend a toy with an “S” curve. These include the Spectral (in stores only), the New Wave, and our latest and greatest- the Tryst. The hardness of these materials, glass, steel, and wood, respectively, are supreme for hunting after the g-spot and their curve makes getting the right angle so easy.
So, moving on, the other spots I frequently find myself discussing with customers and friends alike are as follows: the P-spot (or spots I should say), the U-spot, the C-spot, and the A-spot. I get a little tired of the word spot at times and wish we could use other similar words like place, area, or even niche, just so I wouldn’t get so tongue-tied. But that’s besides the point. The point being there are many erogenous zones in the human body, the vagina especially, that we as sexual athletes should know about.
The C-spot is one I get questioned about quite often, thankfully this one has an easy answer. I don’t know who coined the term, Cosmo or Jane, but the C-spot is just a sassy way to say clitoris. Simple as it seems, it isn’t quite. Many men and women in the world don’t even know where the clitoris is, let alone, how to stimulate it well. This is a gigantic problem, seeing as about 90% of female bodied folks need clitoral stimulation to reach orgasm. That’s right, only one in ten women can climax from penetration alone. No joke.
So how do you stimulate the clit? So many ways: a pointed tongue, a circling finger, a jutting hip bone, a grinding pelvis, a textured dildo, a pulsing bullet. Wanna learn more? Read a book, Box Lunch by Diana Cage and Tickle Your Fancy by Sadie Allison both have great ideas (illustrations included) about how to work the C-spot. Wanna try a toy? Lelo’s Nea and Lily are perfect vibes for the clit: small, strong, and quiet, not to mention rechargeable!!! Employing a cock ring with clitoral inclinations ensures your clit will be attended to during penetration, my personal fave is the Blackberry Vibe Ring, it’s nubby texture is delicious. (Harness wearers stay tuned for an awesome blog about cock rings, harnesses, and dildos.)
One last thing about the C-spot. Adding a little clitoral play to your G-spot games will ensure an incredible time for all. May I suggest a little clit-sucking while driving the fabulous new Fling, our new wooden miracle who’s just begging to get in on that oral action.
Okay, so my time is up for today, and I know I only covered two spots. Keep reading though, next post I’ll go on about the P-spots. Bet you didn’t know there was more than one!
Ciao!
