Today I came across the new Garbage video, “Tell Me Where it Hurts.” Have I told you lately that I love you? I do. I loved you when you sang about being the Queerest of the Queer and I loved you when you cut your hair off into a short little fauxhawk/pompadour (I carry a picture of you in my bag, and show it to my barber every time I get a haircut) and I loved you when you wore red, red lipstick for MAC.
And now, you’re back, having your legs parted like chicken, sporting boots and a black eye. Are you trying to kill me? Tell me where it hurts, indeed:
Is it wrong to include this video? No, because Norah Jones melts my heart, and this video just confirms what I already knew: she is sexiest when she’s singing about Yogurt with a muppet:
Beth Ditto from the Gossip rules. I got to meet her; she gave me a huge hug and was adorable with her sexy southern accent. My girlfriend is kind-of in love with her, along with about 20 of my friends. I hope she never lets anyone get her down, she’s perfect just the way she is. Oh, and she’s AMAZING live. Like, jaw-dropping amazing.
PJ Harvey, when are you coming back to SF? I saw her at the Warfield right after 9/11. It was totally intense. I mean, she’s intense anyway, right?
