A look back at Masturbation Month Classes

I know that many of you had a blast at the Masturbate-a-thon. Unfortunately, I didn’t get to attend this year but next year I’ll make an effort to attend. The plus side is that my reason for missing it is a good one. I was teaching a Masturbation for Women class at the Berkeley store.
There is something fabulous about being able to help others explore their bodies, sometimes for the very first time! I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
I wasn’t able to take pictures of my event, but I did take a few at the Masturbation class hosted by Carol Queen & Robert Lawrence at the Polk street store. There is something amazing about seeing that duo in action. They’ve been working together so long that they almost move as one. Its almost as good as watching a live sex act!
If you haven’t attended a workshop yet, you’re seriously missing out. They’re informative, fun and often come with free snacks and discounts on store merchandise. Talking about sex in a friendly, positive, nonjudgmental environment is a truly enlightening experience. If it seems a bit scary, why not wander by the front door the next time we have a free event and just see how it feels to you. I think you’ll be amazed at how comfortable it actually can be!
