[...] I read Daphne Gottlieb’s Why Things Burn before i worked at GV, and so when I had the opportunity to ask Daphne to write for the GV Weekly (and when she accepted), I was really excited. Daphne always writes about interesting topics, and I knew she’d bring her unique vision to the magazine. She did indeed. Her articles touched on such topics as erotic kidnappings, older women, penis size as seen from a queer woman’s view and having a book written about sleeping with her. [...]

Those peeling-the-paint-off-the-walls years may be done with you...who says?

Yes, our culture is youth obessed, and perhaps I'm deluding myself but the thing is that, if you're very lucky, youth fades and you get to be middle aged. The wave of baby boomers, the ones who made youth sexy in the first place, who are preceding me at not-quite-40 on to the AARP roles will redefine sexy. You don't think Viagra, Cialis, and the like were developed because BigPharma thought they'd make a fortune off 20-something club kids' recreational use do you?

Daphne: I loved your article. For the last 9 years I've been in a marvelous relationship with a woman 15 years older than me(I am 36 now). She is everything I ever wanted in a woman and more. We have a quite active sex life, in addition we are active Lifestylers for the last 3 years. I have seen her blossom sexually, exploring her bisexual side and open herself to possibilities she never imagined.

Personally I enjoy the company of older women more than anything, although young women are better eye candy, when it comes to actual sex there is nothing better than a 40+ woman who has left shame, insecurities and modesty far behind.

I salute all the 40+ women out there who are still enjoying their sexuality and telling the world "I don't care what you think" every single day.
