Ask the Good Vibrations Call Center Girls; CeeCee & Molly

Hi darlings! We’ve been amazingly busy over here in the call center helping shoppers and making sure you get your toys on time! So now we’re taking a little break from the phones to answer some excellent questions we got this week in the advice inbox. With all the holiday stress, we hope you now take some time out for some self pampering and making sure to give your loved one a little bit extra. Winter is the best time to cozy up with the one you love or scout for new adventures while hitting the rounds of parties. We hope that you’re all keeping nice and warm — so bundle up and be safe out there!

Love,
CeeCee and Molly

Welcome to Good Vibrations, how can we help you?

Q: Dear CeeCee & Molly, I have a partner that is allergic to Latex, what types of non-latex products do you carry and is there such a thing as a non-latex dental dam? Thanks!
– J.J.

Hot DamA: Your partner is not alone! Lots of people are sensitive to latex these days. We have several items that you can use if your partner has a latex allergy. Polyurethane condoms have greatly improved in quality and are a fabulous option. Keep in mind that non-latex condoms are not as elastic and durable as latex, so try not to pull too hard when putting them on and be sure to use plenty of lubricant. Check out the Avanti condom and the Reality Female Condom. They’re super thin and actually provide a lot of sensation! The Female Condom has a ton of space and that extra room means more feeling for both parties!

If you’re going down, check out the Hot Damn Non-Latex Dam. It’s a sheer, 10″ x 6″ micro-thin sheet of polyurethane. It’s powder-free and odor-free and especially suited for folks with sensitivities. We also carry Non-latex Powder-free Gloves made from nitrile, a synthetic latex substitute.

G TwistAlso-silicone silicone silicone. And silicone. Did we mention silicone yet? Folks with an allergy to latex should stay away from jelly rubber vibes, dildos and cock rings. Good thing there’s a great selection of silicone toys to choose from! Check out the G-Swirl and the G-Twist if you’re looking for a latex free vibe! If you’re ever curious about the material of a toy just peruse the descriptions on our website or give us a call!

Q: Hi CeeCee & Molly. My wife loves her Acute. She loves a lot of pressure on the front wall of her vagina, though honestly we’re not sure if it’s her G-spot. It seems a bit further in than most reports would indicate it should be. I’m looking for a recommendation for something a bit firmer, preferably silicone like the Acute, and I’m not sure which way to go. Do you think something maybe longer or with a larger diameter, that’s firm, or something with a really pronounced bend that’s firm, might be better? Did I mention that we’re looking for something firm?
– P.M.

A: The amazing thing about the human body is that even though we’ve all got the standard design we vary so greatly. It may be her G-spot, it may not be, but you’ve found her sweet spot and that’s all that matters. Lots of people love G-spot stimulation and we have a suggestion for you both to investigate. Firmness does make a difference in the feeling and experience of a toy and it definitely sounds like a glass toy would be perfect for you two!

EclipseGlass sex toys may sound a little strange at first. (We weren’t sure when we first saw them either. In fact, Molly became a convert when she immediately dropped an Eclipse on the floor after she was handed one to examine and it didn’t break.) The toys are amazingly strong and made from Pyrex; that specially designed heat tempered magic glass. The great thing about glass toys is the solid, heavy feel. They’re great for applying focused pressure against the G-spot, P-spot or whatever spot you’re going for. Their smooth texture often is enhanced with lube as their tips will move so, so, so well against your favorite spot with the extra moisture. Glass also has some extra fun features that can change up the experience with each use. You can put them in the freezer for a chilly surprise or warm them up in a hot bath before going to town. Glass also warms to body temperature from room temperature quickly which is wonderful if it’s been sitting out in the cold air.

These unique, handcrafted toys are also really beautiful and we have plenty of customers who tell us that they leave their Comets and Novas out for display to show off their works of art! Definitely something to think about if you’re looking for that perfect, one of a kind gift. You can get all kinds of great information about the spot (where to find it and what to do when you get there) in GV’s Guide to the G Spot and G Marks the Spot on DVD or VHS. These helpful manuals will give you a road map, tips & tricks, and positions to try out. Have fun out there!

We’re looking forward to all your questions so go ahead and write us at advice@goodvibes.com. Until next time,
